 The OMT Multimedia Series of Multi-taps are full-featured advanced technology taps that incorporate the latest electrical and mechanical technology for optimal performance up to 1 GHz. Each unit is built and tested electronically to ensure excellent specifications and pressure tested for watertight integrity and EMI. All of the components are assembled in the baseplate for easy upgrades in bandwidth or subscriber NIU powering without re-splicing the housing. The Multimedia Widebody Multi-taps have interchangeable 2, 4 and 8 output baseplates to provide maximum flexibility for the system designer.
· Full 5 to 1000 MHz bandwidth
· High quality make before break AC/RF bypass for uninterrupted signal and power when the baseplate is removed
· Interlocking, tongue-and-groove housing and faceplate with a wire mesh gasket guarantee excellent RFI isolation.
· Four Stage Corrosion Protection:
o A 360 Aluminum alloy housing (most corrosive-resistant alloy for die-casting on the market today)
o Housing is then impregnated with a sealer to prevent porosity
o Clear chromate coatings are applied inside and out
o Double baked-on coatings of polyurethane applied for superior protection
· All hardware is made from heat treated stainless steel with a proprietary plating to reduce galvanic reaction.
· Machined brass subscriber ports with nickel zinc alloy plating
· All subscriber ports are capacitively coupled to prevent hum modulation from subscriber locations and RF distortion
· Full 10 amperes current handling superior hum modulation performance
· Color coded tap labels
· Drip wells at each port
· Strip gauge for exact connector pin length
· One housing for aerial and pedestal application
· Plastic component cover for additional protection of faceplate circuitry during maintenance
· Available in two, four or eight output taps with the following tap values:
o 2-way: 4, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 32 dB
o 4-way: 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 32, 35 dB
o 8-way: 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36 dB |
